baby signing time, vol.1 September 3, 2010 Kathy I bought this for my grandson. I have not seen it myself but my daughter loves it and already knows the signs and is signing to my grandson who is only 5 months old. I also bought vol.2 and vol. 3...They have not been out of the package yet but if they are as easy and fun as the first one, my daughter will love it and if she is happy, I am happy.
So much fun! September 2, 2010 araevalentine I'm an ASL minor, and I wanted my son to learn some ASL as well. I show him signs, but the video is great at reiterating what I"m showing him! The only thing is that I wish they showed more on each DVD.
Educational and entertaining August 31, 2010 Crestviewer (CO, USA) My oldest daughter started watching Baby Signing time when she was about 18 months old. She loved it - for a few months it was all that she would watch! I love the concept of babies/toddlers using sign language to communicate and this DVD definitely helped our daughter understand some basic signs. This DVD is really well done. The songs and images are very catchy and appealing - there were many days when I went around singing the songs from this movie! I think the most useful word covered in Volume 1 is "more" and the most fun song is the "Diaper Dance".
Great teaching tool! August 24, 2010 C. Martinez (SF Bay Area, CA USA) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Baby Signing Time series! This intro DVD has all the basics. We started using it at 10 months old. My now 16-month-old daughter knows all the signs and uses them fluently throughout the day. Good for communicating with parents, childcare providers, and of course, deaf family and community. Highly recommend it to any family looking to promote language development in their young children! AMAZING results!
My child's favorite August 24, 2010 Emily Collier My 23 month old daughter LOVES these videos (we have the first two volumes). After she started watching them she would come to me and say, "Baby" and do the sign for baby, meaning she wanted to watch the video, now, a year later she still begs for "Baby Sign Time". I bought these and the "Your Baby Can Read" videos at the same time. Before she could speak I knew she could read because the words that were on both videos she would show the sign for when she read it, such as "dog" "milk" "car" "bear" etc. The songs are really cute (the first 50 times but after that you may want to gouge your eyes out with a pitchfork) and I would recommend watching these WITH your children so you learn all of the signs too - it really helps that you both know them, lol. Totally worth every penny I spent!
